Cancun All Inclusive Vacation Packages - Get The Real Deal
There are two ways to visit Cancun, or indeed, anywhere. One is to book everything separately - your airplane tickets and your hotel, and when you get there, you pay separately for any activities you want to do - scuba diving, visits to historic or cultural places, and so on.
Or, you can take a package tour, where you pay everything upfront to a single business offering the tour, which covers your tickets, hotel, activities, and most food. Package tours are usually the most convenient way to go…their only drawback is that your activities are circumscribed - you’ve already paid for everything, so if you don’t feel like going on an outing…you’re out the money that you spent to reserve that portion of the package.
So, what kind of activities do Cancun package deals offer?
Cancun offers some of the best beaches in the world. In fact this travel destination is mainly recognized for its soft and white sands. In Cancun you can also enjoy its dazzling turquoise waters. With all that you can try out every water sport you can imagine.
When it comes to beaches, Cancun’s are famous. Those white sands running into the turquoise blue water…there’s nowhere else quite like it.
More than swimming, the package deal you want to look for would include also boating or deep-sea fishing, jet skiing or parasailing, skin or scuba diving…whichever activity interests you.
When you think swimming or snorkeling, don’t just think of the ocean. Cenotes are also a popular diving location. A cenote is a deep, natural well, sometimes leading into an underground cave. Many cenotes, along “the cenote trail” as its called, are popular with tourists.
There are also plenty of cultural sites to visit around Cancun. A very popular package tour takes you to Chichen Itza, for example, and the Pyramid of Kukulcan. Chichen Itza is 117 miles west of Cancun, so that’s a two day trip to start with!
Package tours, therefore, can be a great time and money saver, if you choose the right tour for you. It will take some research, of course, but better to spend research before you leave on your trip, than to arrive and find out you’ve missed out on something you really wanted to see.

Cancun Vacation Packages Deals You Can Look For
If you’d like to take a vacation in Cancun, you’ll have to do a bit of research to find a package that will match your budget. Cancun has hotels and motels that run the gamut from the most inexpensive to the most expensive budgets.
There are many tools you can use to do your research, from visiting a travel agent or the library to find books on the location, to using that most easily accessible source…the internet!
You’ve certainly seen the travel websites advertised on TV, from Priceline.com to Orbits, to specific sites such as CancunCare.com. Browsing these sites, you can find the best deals on your hotel, or home or apartment rental, and of course plane tickets.
Before you get your tickets and hotel reservations, you do want to make specific research about Cancun, to find the areas you most want to visit. Cancun has a population of over 500,000 people, with differing economic scales, obviously, so you want to be aware of that.
As with all vacations… if you travel “off peak”, prices are lower. The month of October, and March through May, are off season in Cancun, so you can get some pretty good deals. (On the other hand, with the current economic downturn, don’t be afraid to try to find good deals even during the peak season!)
Cancun has plenty of festivals, which are a joy to attend, but just be aware that the city will be super-busy during that time, with prices raised accordingly.
In order to book your travel, it’s usually best to make your reservations far in advance. Last minute travel will very rarely save you money - if you don’t make your reservations at least two weeks in advance, you’ll typically be spending more money than you need to.
However, because hotels and resorts do like to fill up their empty rooms, it is possible to get “last minute discounts” if you use sites like Priceline.com, but it’s usually best not to count on this.
Depending on your budget, you can also consider the package tour. This means that your entire vacation is “packaged” together - the airfare, lodging, meals, and activities, and indeed, you’re generally with a group and will do activities together.
So, do your research, and you can find a good deal to match your budget and needs.
